Champions League Night Reactions: Ronaldo answers critics with a walk and a huge goal, AA Gent beaten at home by Draxler and Wolfsburg

Draxler shines too

During the pre-match press conference, Ronaldo walked out on the press after being stirred up by questions of not scoring goals away from the Santiago Bernebue, although it may have been a silly thing to do at the time, the Portuguese superstar gave the perfect riposte to his critics with a trademark cut back goal to open the scoring and silence the booing home fans in the second-half.

Twitter Kyle gives a matrix to critics, lol

It was a Roma dominated first half performance, keeping the visitors at bay with no shot on target from Madrid. But the game burst into life when Marcelo set Ronaldo free on the left to cut inside Florenzi and unleash a powerful shot, deflected over the diving Szcesny.

Jese completed the win with a low drive just four minutes after coming on as a sub.

On the other match of the night, Wolfsburg's Draxler scored two goals, with the first arguably the goal of this week's Champions League fixtures with some brilliant runs and interchange to give his team a massive first leg advantage over AA Gent
